LEADERS OF REGIONAL LOCAL GOVERNMENT - INDJIJA, PALILULA AND SVOGE

Within the program of regional cooperation in Palilula Municipality, the meeting of three municipalities: Indjija, Palilula and Svoge was organized.The presidents of these municipalities Novakovic, Atanasov and the president of Assembly of Indjija Aleksandar Kovacevic, together with Milan Djurdjevic, president of Palilula Assembly, Milos Stojkovic, member of Palilula Council and Bojan Ilic, head of Municipal Administration, discussed about new project activities, border cooperation and possibilities of program exchange.

Indjija Municipality first one in Serbia started `Info 48` and then this program was adopted in a way and put in practice by Palilula Municipality. This example of good practice in the work of Serbian local governments with the citizens interested also the representatives of Svoge municipality. As a sign of good cooperation and new activities the experiences from this project were presented to the president Emil Atanasov who expressed his readiness to apply the project in the work of Svoge government.

Bulgaria is a member of EU and Svoge municipality has developed cooperation and number of projects. It is one of few municipalities that has its own office in Brussels and is actually on the very `source of information` for investments in the Region.

After Djurdjevic words, this meeting of municipalities, that already are implementing their developmental strategies and put efforts for regional cooperation, is significant since it is opening new ways for improvement of local authorities work and activities in all spheres of life.
